there's a new addition to the family...Diva, the golden retriever, currently aged almost 7 months...and this is what we've learnt living together so far...
A Diva and a Drama Queen can get along under one roof...except when one chews up the others flip-flops...no prizes as to which one does the chewing!
A Diva thinks it is perfectly acceptable to chomp on whatever is nearest...favourites so far include stones, vaccination booklets, flowers, phone chargers and we could go on...but let's not!
A Drama Queen does not enjoy trying to decipher what each chewed up blob left lying on the floor was in a past life...no, no, no!
A Diva made a Drama Queen very happy when she stopped peeing and pooing all over the house
A Drama Queen makes a Diva happy when she brings home doggie treats and fresh meat...
A Diva and a Drama Queen can have long luxurious walks on the beach together that neither ever want to end...
A Diva and a Drama Queen can give each other lots of love...but expressing this love does not always have to be in the form of jumps with dirty paws on white skirts...

NEVER say never....and aren't i lucky i didn't...i wrote a certain little love post some time back about my tumultuous love affair with bamboo and even though it was rocky that one day i might welcome bamboo back into my life...and lo and behold...a charming bamboo cottage found it's way into my life that i am now renting in Batu Belig in Canggu...with a mere 3 minute walk to the beach. it's perfect. full of character and charm and i just adore coming home to it every evening and find it hard to tear myself away to leave in the morning...and let's face it...isn't that supposed to be the way you feel about the place where you set up home. i am blessed...and bamboo...thank you...i didn't give up on you, nor you me...and we're together again...

welcome to my new home! this is where i will be for the next year at least...or maybe longer...who knows? when i arrived on saturday morning and brought here...i couldn't believe my luck...my own perfectly-sized little house complete with kitchen, bathroom with rain shower, chill out area and upstairs sleeping area. love it! it's surrounded by beautiful plants, trees and the best part...it's made completely of bamboo! incredible! what an amazing structure! i'm into my third day here and loving every minute of it. it's so great to be in a place so close to the outdoors and surrounded by growth and the natural environment. the school is amazing...in the next few days i'll be taking photos of some of the many amazing elements within the school and telling you all about them...especially the vortex pool, which is truly mesmerising! meanwhile i am still enjoying settling in and getting to know all my new colleagues and many people who make up the project here that is Green School...
