the night before Nyepi, Bali's day of silence, which took place on Tuesday 16th March...the real 'wild things' came out to play. called ogoh-ogoh, they are huge statues created in every village across Bali and paraded through the streets to scare away the evil spirits. a fearsome sight indeed!

That is just so amazing. Rituals seem so ancient to my western culture upbringing. It's like a fantasy that that actually happens. Beautiful actually..... Thank you for sharing this! I love it!
